PTE Summarize Spoken Text practice
Listen to a 60–90 second lecture, then write a summary of 50–70 words in ten minutes.
Form is a hard gate. Outside 50–70 words and you lose Form marks; well outside it and the task can score zero. Count your words before you submit — it is the cheapest check on the paper.
Strategy
- Take notes in two columns: main idea, supporting detail.
- Write one long, well-controlled sentence or two short ones — do not ramble to fill the count.
- Spelling is a separate trait here. Free marks, easily dropped.
