PTE Repeat Sentence practice
You hear the sentence once. Repeat it. Scored on words reproduced in the correct sequence — hesitations and pauses are ignored.
Partial credit is real. All the words in order scores 3; at least half in order scores 2; less than half scores 1. So say what you caught, even if you only caught half — silence scores zero.
Strategy
- Do not try to understand it. Meaning is a distraction here — hold the sound and reproduce it.
- Chunk it. Most sentences break into 2–3 natural groups; remember groups, not words.
- Start speaking immediately. The recording stops after silence, and every second you delay costs words from memory.
