PTE Re-tell Lecture practice
Listen to a 60–90 second lecture, then re-tell it in 40 seconds. Main ideas and key details, in your own words.
Take notes while you listen. You get one hearing, and Content is scored on the ideas you reproduce — not on how eloquently you say them. Three main points recalled beats one point said beautifully.
Strategy
- Note keywords, not sentences. Names, numbers, the argument, and any contrast (“however…”).
- Open with the topic in one line, then give the points in order.
- Do not fabricate. Inventing detail the lecture did not contain costs you Content.
