PTE Highlight Correct Summary practice
Listen, then pick the paragraph that best summarises what you heard. One mark. All or nothing.
The wrong options are usually right-sounding. They typically contain real details from the recording but distort the overall point, or they are true but incomplete. Judge the summary as a whole, not on whether you recognise phrases in it.
Strategy
- Note the main argument as you listen, not the details — the details are the trap.
- Eliminate: cross off any summary containing something the speaker did not say.
- Beware the option that repeats the most words from the audio. Familiarity is not accuracy.
